I’ve always manipulated my work, it started back in the days of shooting film and masking Cibachrome prints in the darkroom and transformed into digital using Photoshop in around 1998.
I’ve never wanted to to simply document what is in front of me but rather show my interpretation and feelings of it.
I often get asked to give talks to groups about my work and I always start by saying “sometimes I take pictures and other times I create them”.
Here are a few case studies of several images that I was both inspired to capture or inspired to create from just an idea I had within my head.
